I am happily married to Paula Crutchley, my rock, friend, and confidant. We both love to travel and experience different cultures. In today’s world, where EVERY SECOND PERSON seems to be a photographer, booking the photographer that is best for you can be a daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be like that! The first thing you should do is figure out if you like my photos. Do you like my photographs? Yes or no! That’s all you need to do in this step of the process.

Hiring a photographer whose photographs you genuinely love, a photographer who is fun to be around, and one that your family and guests will enjoy is just as important as cost. So, MAKE SURE YOU ARE VIBING WITH ME!

3. CHECK YOUR BUDGET!

OK! You love my photos, and you connect with me. What’s next? See if I’m within your budget. Most of my couples invest $4,000 and above on their wedding day photography coverage.

4. GET A CONSULTATION

Schedule a complimentary consultation with me. The consultation allows us to get to know each other a little more. But, most importantly, a consultation will enable me to learn more about what you are looking for in your wedding photographer and how I can best serve you.

5. SELECT YOUR PACKAGE

After the consultation, I will create and send you 3 packages built from the information you provided during the consultation. Select your favorite of the three packages.

6. REVIEW, SIGN & PAY

The final step in the process is to review the collection and contract. Then sign the contract and pay the retainer.

After you sign the contract and pay the retainer, you will be officially booked with me, and your wedding date will be secure.

BOOKING YOUR your dream wedding photographer

Finding and booking your dream wedding photographer can be a tedious task. Many couples say that hiring their wedding photographer was the most challenging part of planning their wedding. Here are five tips to help make finding and hiring your photographer easier:

DON’T WAIT until the last minute to start doing your research. Most top photographers are usually booked out a year or two in advance. Typically, you want to start interviewing photographers immediately after you book your venue or 10 TO 12 MONTHS OUT from your wedding.

HAVE A BUDGET 2

Know how much you can afford to spend before you start looking. Couples generally get shocked when they learn how much professional wedding photography costs.

DO YOU LIKE THE PHOTOS? 3

Before you begin the search for your dream wedding photographer, know WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHS YOU LIKE. Don’t get wrapped up trying to figure out styles. Instead, ask yourself what it is you like about the photos. Is it dark and contrasty, light & airy, sharp, colors, etc.?

COMMUNICATION IS VERY IMPORTANT! 4

Communication is THE KEY TO FINDING your dream wedding photographer. Be honest and upfront about everything. Be respectful of the photographer’s time by being responsive and following given instructions or recommendations.

COLLECTIONS & CONTRACT 5

When you receive the proposal with your chosen collection and the contract, you must take time to review everything before you sign the contract. Then, if you have questions, ask, but don’t sign anything until you are completely satisfied.

Q HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS?

A I have been photographing weddings FOR OVER 10 YEARS - over 200 love stories captured from Santa Barbara, California, to Miami, Florida.

Q DO YOU OFFER VIDEOGRAPHY SERVICE TOO?

A I do not offer a videography service. My expertise is in photography, and creating authentic still images is my passion.

Q WILL I NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

A It depends on your photography needs and budget. I generally recommend a second photographer if you have MORE THAN 100 GUESTS. I will also recommend a second photographer if you want getting ready shots of you and your partner, and you both are getting ready in separate locations.

If you are getting prepared in the same hotel, that is fine. You don’t need a second photographer. However, note that, with a second photographer, you will get more variety of shots from different angles.

Q DO I NEED TO DO A FIRST LOOK?

A No, you don’t have to do a first look. However, it is strongly recommended. Doing a first look allows you to create some beautiful and authentic photos when your makeup is still fresh and you both or not under the judging eyes of your guests.

The first look is also a big stress reliever because you get to see each other before the ceremony, reducing the jitters and nervousness.

If your wedding ceremony is late in the evening at sunset, you may want to consider doing a first look so that you can get some couples photos in the daylight.

Q WILL WE GET ALL OUR PHOTOS?

A Heck yea – except the spoils that I trash. I don’t believe in giving you photo proofs that are watermarked and unedited. All your photos will be digitally enhanced, high resolution, and print-ready.

Q CAN I SEE YOUR PRICES AND PACKAGES?

A I don’t offer ready-made packages. Instead, all my packages are custom-made to fit my couples’ desires and finance.

For custom packages and prices you must first have a COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION with me. This way, I can learn what your photography needs are and present you with a custom collection that is uniquely you. My couples generally invest $4,000 and above on their collections.

Q DO YOU TAKE PAYMENT IN INSTALLMENTS?

A Yes, I do! I require a 25% RETAINER FEE upfront to get you on my calendar, and the balance can be broken up into 3 payments.

Q HOW DO I BOOK YOU?

A Easy – I have a secure paperless booking and payment application. Everything is done virtually.

1. First, I will send you the proposal with your collection, contract, and payment schedule.

2. Review your collection, and contract to make sure it is everything you want and agreed to.

3. Next, sign the contract and pay the initial payment (the Retainer).

4. I will receive an email letting me know that I have a contract to sign.
